It is a British television crime drama set in post-World War I Birmingham, England. A gang of criminals, are so named because they sew razor blades into the peaks of their caps. They are one of the most feared gangs in Birmingham. The Peaky Blinders are led by Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy), who is trying to move up in the world. The first season follows Thomas and his Peaky Blinders as they get involved in the world of illegal boxing and coal smuggling. The Peaky Blinders are also being pursued by a Detective Inspector from Scotland Yard, who is intent on bringing them down. The first season of Peaky Blinders is a gripping tale of crime and intrigue that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Season 3
Season three was a true rollercoaster ride. Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) continued to be the show’s standout character, as he navigated his way through the complex web of politics, crime, and family. The season also saw the return of fan-favorite John Shelby (Joe Cole), as well as the introduction of new characters such as Oswald Mosley (Sam Neill). As always, the acting was superb across the board, and the writing remained sharp and witty. It is truly one of the best television shows on air today, and season three only solidified that fact. I can’t wait to see what season four has in store for us.
