Early Life
Nikolaj Lie Kaas, now a famous comedian and actor who you may have seen on TV or in movies such as Lone Star. went through some hard times when he was young. His father Preben left the family before they were even established; eventually becoming one of those “perfectly happy” single fathers that many people dream about having! But there’s more: after losing both parents at very early ages- Lie grew up with his grandmother & step mother. This made him realize how important it can be for kids growing up without dad.
“My dad Preben was always there for me, even when he wasn’t around,” Lie says. “He would always make time for me, no matter what.” Even though his father was never really around, growing up with him made Lie realize how important it can be for kids to have a role model in their lives.
“I think it’s essential for every kid to have a dad,” Lie says. “It doesn’t matter if he is around all the time, or if he is just there occasionally. Having a dad is one of the most important things in a kid’s life.”
